Introductions ...

So ... this is it! My first blog.

Welcome!

After A LOT of deliberation (and I mean a lot of deliberation) I have created this blog so I can have more contact with you:  my colleagues, my family and friends and most of all my lovely clients, both old and new. So ... where do I start? Well, I decided to start with an introduction to me. This little attempt has taken me ages but here goes ...

I'm Candice! Creator of Cerendipity ... a little wedding planning business based in the heart of Buckinghamshire ... and mum of three! (Not forgetting wife to a wonderful man!) I love weddings (that one's obvious) but I also love vintage and pretty ... cosy nights in front of a roaring fire and reading ... and I love the smell of freshly mowed lawn.

A freckly, strawberry-blonde and a South African, I moved to the UK 8 years ago when I got married. I have planned many weddings ... and parties ... for family and friends since then but took the leap earlier this year to make a dream come true. I never had a wedding planner ... I was pretty determined that I could and wanted to plan it all myself (boy was I wrong!). It wasn't until I started Cerendipity that I realised how much a wedding planner could have helped me, while still allowing me to have control of the things that were important to me. My only wish is to help every couple I work with to have the wedding of their dreams ... exactly the way they have always dreamed. Join me as I embark on this exciting journey of all things wedding.

I'll be blogging (and you'll be reading) about lovely people I meet such as fabulous photographers or bridal dress designers, or advice and inspiration on wedding planning and lots and lots about things I've come across that I love (all to do with weddings of course!)

Until next time ...

(Thanks so much to Stormy for the use of her photo for this blog. Also thanks to Stormy, Steve, Eleanor and DOUZO for their contributions and help with this blog. Much appreciated x)
